Ahead of the much heated Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) tonight, 06/05/2023, Ghanain entertainment pundit and Artiste manager, Lawrence Nana Asiamah HANSON, popularly known as Bulldog has opined that a gospel artiste will not win the VGMA Artiste of the year this time, amidst a massive campaign by the Christian community for Piesie Esther to win the top prize tonight.
Speaking on TV3’s New Day show on Friday, Bulldog predicted that either Black Sharif or Stonebwoy would win the ultimate prize. He argued that a secular artiste deserves to win the award this year, no matter the campaign for a gospel artiste.
”This year, if you look at the work of Stonebwoy, Black Sharif, we will not allow any gospel artiste to win. The Church of Pentecost, Presby Church, and Anglican Church can all join they will not win. We are with the world, and everyone in the world is with Lucifer against God, and God understands that we will win” he added.
The VGMA ceremony is scheduled to take place tonight at the Grand Arena, Accra with top artiste such as Stonebwoy, King Promise, Black Sherif, Camidoh, Kidi, Sarkodie, Joe Mettle, and Peisie Esther has been nominated for the top prize tonight.
